Terms of service
These Terms of Service apply when you access the Constroll website or purchase products from us. By placing an order, you agree to these terms.
1. Business information
Constroll supplies handcrafted BioThane dog leads, collars and related products throughout the United Kingdom.
- Trading name
- Constroll
- Business address
- Station Road, Newport, South Wales, NP18 2DW
- constrollstaff@outlook.com
2. Products
We take reasonable care to describe and display our products accurately. However, colours may appear slightly different depending on your screen, and handcrafted products may have minor variations.
Customers are responsible for checking product measurements and choosing an appropriate size and type for their dog. Product photographs are illustrative unless the listing states that the exact item shown will be supplied.
3. Prices and payment
All prices displayed on our website are in pounds sterling and include all applicable UK taxes, including VAT where applicable. Any delivery charge will be shown before you submit your order.
Payment must be authorised through one of the payment methods offered at checkout. We may correct an obvious pricing error and will contact you before processing the affected order.
4. Orders and processing
After placing an order, you should receive an acknowledgement at the email address supplied during checkout. This acknowledgement confirms receipt of your order but does not necessarily mean that we have accepted it.
Please allow up to 24 hours for your order to be received and processed. A contract is formed when we confirm acceptance of your order or dispatch it, whichever occurs first.
We may decline or cancel an order if:
- A product is unavailable.
- Payment cannot be authorised.
- The delivery information is incomplete or incorrect.
- We identify an obvious pricing or product-description error.
- We reasonably suspect fraud or misuse of the website.
If we cancel an order after taking payment, we will refund the amount paid.
5. Delivery
Our estimated delivery time is 3-5 working days, beginning after the order has been processed. Working days exclude weekends and UK bank holidays.
Delivery times are estimates and may be affected by circumstances outside our reasonable control. You are responsible for providing an accurate and complete delivery address.
Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights, including any legal delivery deadline that applies where no different period has been agreed.
6. Cancelling an order
For most products purchased online, consumers may cancel their order within 14 days after the day the goods are received, without giving a reason.
To cancel, email constrollstaff@outlook.com within that period and clearly state that you wish to cancel. Include your name, order number and details of the product.
If the order has not been dispatched, we will cancel it where possible. If it has already been dispatched or delivered, you must return the product in accordance with the returns section below.
7. Returns and refunds
After notifying us of a change-of-mind cancellation, you must return the product within 14 days. Unless the product is faulty or we agree otherwise, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning it.
Products must be returned in the same condition in which they were delivered, subject to reasonable handling needed to inspect their nature, characteristics and function. Please keep proof of postage.
We may reduce a refund if handling beyond what would reasonably be permitted in a shop has diminished the product’s value.
Where cancellation rights apply, we will refund the product price and the cost of our least expensive standard delivery option. We will issue the refund within the legally required period, using the original payment method unless agreed otherwise. We may wait until we receive the goods or receive evidence that they have been sent back, whichever happens first.
8. Faulty, damaged or incorrect products
Products must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If an item arrives damaged, is incorrect or develops a fault, contact constrollstaff@outlook.com with your order details and, where helpful, photographs of the issue.
Your legal remedies may include repair, replacement, a price reduction or refund, depending on the circumstances and when the problem is reported. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable consumer law.
9. Product care and safe use
Dog leads and collars naturally experience wear and should be checked before every use. You must:
- Select the correct size, strength and type for your dog.
- Ensure collars are correctly fitted and cannot slip over the dog’s head.
- Check the strap, rivets, fasteners and hardware regularly.
- Stop using a product immediately if it becomes worn, damaged, loose or weakened.
- Prevent dogs from chewing leads or collars.
- Use the product appropriately and keep control of your dog.
- Never leave a dog tethered or unattended using our products.
No dog lead or collar is indestructible or guaranteed to prevent escape in every situation.
10. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Constroll is not responsible for damage, injury, loss or escape caused by:
- Ordinary wear and tear.
- Chewing or deliberate damage by a dog.
- Incorrect sizing, fitting, fastening or adjustment.
- Continued use after signs of wear or damage become visible.
- Improper use, alteration, poor maintenance or failure to follow care instructions.
- A dog slipping out of an incorrectly fitted or unsuitable collar or lead.
- A dog’s behaviour or strength exceeding the appropriate use of the selected product.
We do not exclude or limit liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. This section does not affect your statutory consumer rights.
11. Intellectual property
Constroll owns, or is authorised to use, the intellectual property associated with the business, including the Constroll name, logo, original product photographs, website content, graphics, videos and social-media content.
You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, publish, sell or use this material for commercial purposes without our prior written permission. References to ownership are subject to any third-party rights and to the registration status of relevant trade marks.
Purchasing a product does not transfer any intellectual-property rights to the customer.
12. Website use
You must not:
- Use the website unlawfully or fraudulently.
- Attempt to interfere with its security or operation.
- Introduce malicious software.
- Copy or commercially exploit its content without permission.
- Use our branding in a way that suggests an unauthorised association with Constroll.
We may suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect the website, our business or other users.
13. Personal information
We handle personal information in accordance with applicable UK data-protection law and our Privacy Policy. Customers should read that policy for information about the data we collect, why we use it, how long we retain it and their rights.
14. Events outside our control
We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control. If such an event materially affects an order, we will take reasonable steps to minimise the impact and communicate with the customer.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force when an order is placed will normally govern that purchase. Changes will not retrospectively remove rights already acquired by a customer.
16. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Consumers may also have the right to bring proceedings in the part of the United Kingdom where they live. Nothing in these terms removes any mandatory protection available under applicable consumer law.
